Rental Water Treatment Equipment: UF, RO and Filtration Skids

August 26, 2026

BHF Technologies, an Australian water treatment equipment provider, offers rental options for projects where a permanent system isn’t the right fit. Treatment requirements vary from site to site, from flow rate and feedwater conditions to required output quality, and a rental unit can supply the required capacity for a defined period without committing to a permanent installation.

When Temporary Water Treatment Makes Sense

Flow rates, feed water conditions and treatment objectives can shift not only between projects, but between stages of the same project, as a site’s water source, throughput or process changes. A rental unit can provide treatment capacity for a defined period or application while still being selected around the process requirements. Rental does not remove the need to match the system to the treatment duty.

BHF supports this need in two ways. An ultrafiltration (UF) unit is currently available for rental, and where that unit isn’t the right match, BHF can design and build a purpose-built rental skid, which may include reverse osmosis, nitrogen generation or dechlorination, configured around the project’s treatment duty.

Rental Water Treatment Options from BHF

BHF currently has an ultrafiltration (UF) unit available for rental, with a flow capacity of approximately 5 to 6 m³/hr.

Ultrafiltration can remove suspended particles, bacteria, viruses and other impurities from water while helping protect downstream processes. UF systems can support municipal water treatment, industrial processes, and pharmaceutical applications.

Specification Detail
Unit type Ultrafiltration (UF)
Flow rate 5–6 m³/hr
Daily output (8-hour operation) 40,000–48,000 litres
Status Available for rental
Application Suspended solids, bacteria and virus removal; downstream process protection

The stated flow rate is only one part of selecting the right system. Actual throughput and suitability will depend on the water being treated, the required output quality and how the unit fits into the wider process.

Where the available UF unit isn’t the right match, BHF can also design and build other rental systems, configured around the specific treatment duty rather than offered as a standard product.

These options include:

These are design-and-build rental options rather than systems currently held in stock. Each can be configured around the treatment duty and project requirements.

The next step is to determine whether the available UF unit is suitable or whether a purpose-built rental skid would be a better fit for the project. BHF can review the application and recommend an approach based on the treatment requirements and site conditions.
