  • Formulation: 100% fungal chitosan in powder form.
  • Enological benefits:
    • KillBrett® is a natural, vegan, and allergen-free product made from 100% fungal chitosan (extracted from Aspergillus niger). It is widely recognized for its ability to reduce microbial populations.
    • Easy to use, KillBrett® is effective at dosages as low as 4 g/hL. It significantly decreases the population of undesirable microorganisms, such as Brettanomyces, and helps prevent their negative impacts.
  • Complies with the OIV’s Oenological Codex and EU Regulation n°53/2011 (modifying EC Regulation n°606/2009).

Product Applications

Use during aging (AF and MLF completed). Dissolve in 10 times its weight of water or wine and agitate constantly. Incorporate into wine and ensure good homogenization. Rack the wine 10 days after treatment.

Dosage: 2 to 10 g/hL.

Maximum legal dosage:

  • Reduction of Brettanomyces: 10 g/hL
  • Reduction of heavy metals: 100 g/hL
  • OTA: 500 g/hL
  • Clarification: 100 g/hL
