Optiferm
Complex nutrient for alcoholic fermentation, combining inactivated yeast, diammonium phosphate, and thiamine (vitamin B1). OptiFerm® greatly improves the kinetics of alcoholic fermentation and enhances the yeast’s cellular multiplication.

Features and Benefits
Formulation: Inactivated yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), diammonium phosphate, and thiamine (Vitamin B1).
Enological benefits:
- OptiFerm® provides all of the nutritional elements required for a good alcoholic fermentation.
- It contains thiamine (vitamin B1), which optimises the yeasts’ metabolism and facilitates the start of the alcoholic fermentation.
- Diammonium phosphate (E342) provides a source of mineral nitrogen that is directly assimilable by yeast, ensuring rapid growth of the yeast population at the beginning of the fermentation.
- The yeasts’ subsequent viability is ensured by the inactivated yeasts that are rich in survival factors.
- OptiFerm® therefore acts on each phase of the alcoholic fermentation and gives clean fermentations without any obstacles.
Product Applications
Dissolve in 10 times its weight in water or must. Add at the first half of fermentation during a pump-over.
Dosage: 10 to 40 g/hL according to must assimilable nitrogen. 20 g/hL of OptiFerm® / Vitactif provide 28 mg/hL of assimilable nitrogen.
Maximum legal dosage (EU regulation): 42.85 g/hL. (At this dosage, the maximum authorised dosage of thiamine is added: 60 mg/L).
